”One of our favourite and forever family traditions which we have been celebrating since I can remember, is “Christmas tree weekend”. We all fly home to Ireland on the last weekend of November  so that we can all go to select our Christmas tree together, dressed in Santa hats, braving the cold and taking the task of choosing the perfect tree, very seriously!

We then dress the tree while drinking champagne and listening to Christmas music and the youngest member of the family is lifted to place the star on top of the tree to complete the tree. It is the most magical weekend and I love that my own babies can now enjoy it too and one day carry the tradition on.”

”We always love choosing a Christmas tree and some new ornaments together, hanging up the decorations, playing some festive music, and going iceskating. All the little traditions that make this time of year so memorable. Oh, the boys also love opening their chocolate advent calendars each morning. We are looking forward to heading to Val d’Isère in the lead up to Christmas which will be a fun little snow adventure.

Velvet has been wearing Belle Enfant since she was born, and they always hold such special memories for us, especially the lace trimmed romper. We keep ordering the next size up as she grows, and wears when we travel to warmer climates. ”Christmas takes on a whole new meaning with children - and with our son, Felix, now three-years-old (plus a new, and very imminent arrival) there will be a lot of excitement in our household. In true English-German style, we will celebrate with family on Christmas Eve with presents under the tree and a raclette! Followed by stockings, church, goose and far too many mince pies on Christmas Day. Then it’ll be time for wellies and overcoats for a crisp walk through the woods on Boxing Day.
